This past summer, 1001 New Worshiping Communities ministry kin-dom community hosted its first kin-dom camp for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 12–17 living in Texas and other states in the Synod of the Sun.

Now as word spreads about kin-dom camp, leaders talk about how the camp came to be. In addition, youth and adult participants describe the deep impact kin-dom camp had on them.

As kin-dom community leader the Rev. Pepa Paniagua said, “I don’t think any of us anticipated the emotional joy” that came from their week together.

O God, how are you at work in the world? Show us today. Guide us to the ones you can reach through us. Not of our own doing but through your grave, let us be a part of what you want to do next. We pray in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Amen.
