Mission Yearbook: Here’s how the Lord is moving mightily within the Olivet Congregation in Delaware

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is a joy to share how the Lord has been moving mightily within our congregation here at Olivet Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. We give thanks for his marvelous works and look forward with hope to all he continues to do among us. The following are some highlights of God’s hand at work in our community. Photos are attached with each section.

Bible Study (Book of Acts)

Our ongoing study of the Book of Acts has been deeply impactful — especially witnessing how God continually delivered Paul from trials. Members’ insights and revelations have been Spirit-filled, and we are grateful for the faith and unity that continue to grow through these gatherings.

Livestream Ministry (Launched October 2024)

Since launching our livestream ministry, we have been blessed to reach viewers across Ghana, London, Canada and beyond.

One touching testimony came from Jennifer K. Blackwell of Jackson, Michigan, who shared how God used our livestream to answer her prayer for connection with the wider church. Her words beautifully reflect how the Spirit unites believers across distance.

From Jennifer K. Blackwell; Jackson, Michigan
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

In January, I prayed that God would guide me to connect with the wider universal church — and he answered. God led me to worship with faith communities online, and this week, he led me to your service. Although I wasn’t there in person, I could feel the Spirit moving in your community. I thank God for the work you are doing and for the blessing of technology that allows me to join your family of faith.

I will continue worshiping with you online and keep your ministry in my prayers.

Grace be with you all who have an undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6:24).

Peace be with you now and always,

Jennifer K. Blackwell

Young Adult Volunteers

Young Adult Fellowship Outreach

Earlier this year, our Young Adult Fellowship dedicated their time and resources to serve the homeless in Wilmington.
Through sharing meals, prayers, and encouragement, they lived out Christ’s call to love and care for those in need.
By God’s grace, this outreach will continue as an ongoing ministry.

We give all glory to God for what he has done and all he continues to do through his people.

It is our joy to serve him faithfully and to share his love with others.

Thank you for the opportunity to testify of God’s faithfulness within our congregation. May these stories encourage and inspire others throughout the Presbyterian community.

With gratitude in Christ,
Stephen Kwadu, for the Olivet Congregation
