Special Offerings 2026 Updates

Four rectangles in different colors. The words in black read, "2026 Updates."

Coming Soon for Special Offerings

As you gear up for fall and the kick-off of the program year, we wanted to make sure we share the latest from Special Offerings about the General Assembly-mandated updates beginning in 2026.

Three Offerings

  • One Great Hour of Sharing — Offering season Feb. 18–April 5, 2026
    • Traditionally received on Palm Sunday or Easter but can be received anytime during the Lenten season
    • Causes supported: disaster, hunger, poverty, climate change, immigration, migration and refugees
  • World Communion Offering — Offering season Sept. 6–Oct. 4, 2026
    • Traditionally received on World Communion Sunday but can be received anytime during A Season of Preparation
    • Causes supported: racial justice, gender justice, peacemaking, global witness, ecumenical and interfaith relations
    • As part of this Offering, a grant program is being created that allows any council of the PC(USA) — session, presbytery or synod regardless of participation in the World Communion Offering — to apply for funds to support their own efforts to do ministry around these cause areas.
  • Christmas Joy Offering — Offering season Nov. 29–Dec. 19, 2026
    • Traditionally received on the fourth Sunday of Advent or Christmas Eve but can be received anytime during the Advent season
    • Causes supported: children-at-risk, youth and young adults, leadership development for people of color, Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color, servants of the Church in need through the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions.

Expectations

Just because we have a new look and feel doesn’t mean things won’t feel familiar. Special Offerings will still continue to provide the resources you need for a successful offering.
  • We will continue to have free digital resources available to download from our website.
  • We will continue offering standing orders that include printed resources.
  • The remittance process will remain unchanged. You will still remit your funds either through your normal receiving agency or mail checks to the P.O. Box.
  • We will still stay in touch via email to help navigate these changes.
  • If you have questions, we are available to answer them either by email (just hit reply) or phone at 800-728-7228, ext. 5047.
Thank you for supporting Special Offerings as we navigate these updates together!
We are the Church. Together.
Thank you for your generous support of Special Offerings. If you have any questions, reply to this email or call 800-728-7228, Ext. 5047.
