Growing in Wisdom: Discipleship in Africa

Living In One Accord

How would you feel if a friend asked for help strengthening their faith, and you couldn’t access the tools you needed?

Unfortunately, this is a reality many believers in Africa face. As we rejoice in all the work the Lord has been doing in communities across the continent, the need for biblically sound leadership and resources is pressing.

Thankfully, the Lord has been planting seeds of change and touching the hearts of people to help.

Sharing the Light of Jesus

Sharing the Light of Jesus

“How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” (Romans 10:14 nlt)

In Indonesia and Myanmar, thousands of families live without electricity. This affects their morning and evening routines and hinders them from being able to gather as a family to read God’s Word.

Our Daily Bread Ministries is piloting a program to distribute more than 5,000 packages with Bibles and devotional materials as well as solar lights to families in these remote villages.

These solar-powered lights will provide families the opportunity to have dinner together, do morning or evening devotions, and be able to have their children complete their schoolwork—a crucial need for supporting their education.

The devotional resources combined with Scripture will allow more people to know God’s truth and become devoted followers of Him.

Multiply What Matters

Your partnership with Our Daily Bread Ministries is reminiscent of the early church in Acts where “the word of God increased and multiplied” (Acts 12:24 esv). Due to the dedication of these believers to what matters most—loving God and serving others—they were able to spread the gospel message.

We want to look like this early church by telling others about Jesus so they have a hunger to know Him more.

Join us as we continue to encourage people around the world to receive, reflect on, and respond to God’s Word so the Holy Spirit can transform lives.
