  • Use two-factor authentication
  • Keep your account information up to date
  • Use a password manager
  • Block and report questionable accounts

Clickbait relies on exaggeration and withholding information to push people into clicking a link. Content is considered clickbait when it compels people to click a link to learn more while lacking actual content. Social networks like Facebook see clickbait as spammy and will lower the reach of it accordingly. To prevent your content from being considered clickbait, avoid using language like "click here" or "click this link."
