Missional Leadership in a Time of Disruption

Join us for the WMI Conference and W. Don McClure Lecture Oct. 7-8, 2022. This is an amazing free opportunity for learning and conversation about missional leadership amidst the disruption. We'll cover questions like: What does it mean to engage in God’s mission of love, peace, and justice through the major disruptions of our day? How can we lead in mission in new ways amidst the disruption we've experienced in the past two years?

Keynote Speaker

We are so excited to have the Rev. Eugene Cho, renowned church planter and dynamic new president and CEO of Bread for the World, as our keynote speaker. The conference will be held in a hybrid format (both in-person on campus and livestreamed online) and will focus on what it means to be a mission leader as we live in this time of disruption.

Watch Reflections on Missional Leadership in a Time of Disruption, a video invitation from Rev. Cho.

Schedule

The conference will kick off Fri., Oct. 7 with a mission display and a plenary presentation and conversation with Eugene Cho. On Sat., Oct. 8, there will be several workshops offered such as: "Being Leaders of Disruption", "The Gift of Disruption: Recalibrating your Church's Mission", "Resources for Mission Leaders", and "Leading through Disruption". This will be followed by a lunchtime conversation with Rev. Cho and a powerful closing plenary discussion with the Rev. Saleem Ghubril, executive director of The Pittsburgh Promise; the Rev. Dr. Asa Lee, president of PTS; and the Rev. Karen Rohrer, director of the PTS Center for Adaptive and Innovative Ministry. The closing session on Saturday afternoon will include worship.

Because of the relevance of the topic, conference admission is free for everyone, whether in person or virtually. Registration is required for all to attend. We encourage you and your church members to register soon.

Sponsorship Opportunities: We have sponsorship opportunities available which allow us to offer this event free of charge. For more information on sponsorship, promotional materials, or registration, visit the website or e-mail us at wmi@pts.edu.

We hope you can join us! For those who decide to join virtually, most of the activities will be livestreamed; however, you will be limited to two workshop options to choose from. For those who join in person, housing accommodations are available on campus. Check the website for more detailed information.
