“How can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” (Romans 10:14 nlt) In Indonesia and Myanmar, thousands of families live without electricity. This affects their morning and evening routines and hinders them from being able to gather as a family to read God’s Word. Our Daily Bread Ministries is piloting a program to distribute more than 5,000 packages with Bibles and devotional materials as well as solar lights to families in these remote villages. These solar-powered lights will provide families the opportunity to have dinner together, do morning or evening devotions, and be able to have their children complete their schoolwork—a crucial need for supporting their education. The devotional resources combined with Scripture will allow more people to know God’s truth and become devoted followers of Him.
